On 22-23 February, Technicis (represented by Silvia Lanotte) and Arancho Doc (represented by Francesca Arca) vendor managers attended Elia Together in Athens, Greece. This was the third edition of a series of events organised on an annual basis by the language industry association ELIA for freelancers and language companies.
This year, the conference theme was Specialise to Excel, highlighting the importance of specialising and using technology as a means to differentiate in our industry.
The programme was, as usual, divided into three tracks : Specialization, Trends and Technology.
Following the success of last year, the Together Fair also featured in this year’s programme with a double dose of sessions on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning (for those brave enough to venture out early after the networking dinner!). The Together Fair is a great opportunity for freelancers to connect on a personal level with other freelance translators and language service companies.
The Technicis Group was among the 17 language service companies exhibiting at the Fair. We had the great pleasure and opportunity to meet many experienced and qualified translators with different language combinations and specializations, and we hope to build mutually beneficial working relationships with these new contacts.
The Together event once again provide to be the only event in our industry that brings together professionals from across the industry and encourages an open dialogue between freelancers and language service companies.
If you had the opportunity to attend the Together Fair or are looking for professional opportunities as a translator, please send over your application by filling out our online form here.
We look forward to the next Elia Together event!
